Handcrafted from hard tropical wood, kamagong, these spoons are designed to last. Kamagong is among the hardest wood in the world, sometimes referred to as iron wood. This article courtesy of the Philippines Natural History Museum, provides a bit more information.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the wood, the designs vary by each piece, some are solidly dark in color where others have the variations of browns that add to their unique charm. All four spoons that we obtained are dark brown in color with subtler variations in patterns present.
