We found a wonderfully talented textile artist creating beautiful and unique pieces using native Malaysian batik. In this case, primarily white blossom batik earrings. The flowers vary depending on the size. The larger of the two designs is primarily white with a touch of orange at the center.
The smaller version of these floral earring option has orange leaves on the outside and has a more colorful focus. Both designs have gold strokes added for accent.
The artist only make a few and we took one of each of these designs so they are something unique and special.
NOTE: This batik fabric is hand painted using wax by talented artists in Penang using techniques handed down often within the artist's family. Its an amazing craft that deserves to be preserved.
Details: White blossom batik earrings made of cotton fabric with a colorful printed pattern typical of Malaysian batik. The fabric is stiffened and attached to a post fastening that is suitable for pieced ears.
